Mob Psycho 100 added to Anime Nite Orlando! Plus canned food drive!

Our next Anime Nite Orlando is next Thursday, November 12th at Bikkuri Lounge. Along with Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA, we're showing episodes of Mob Psycho 100, based on the web comic created by One, who also created One Punch Man!

We are also having a canned food drive for Thanksgiving. Please bring non-perishable food items to help those who need it. We will give extra raffle tickets to those who bring in food items to donate.

For November 17th's Anime Nite Orlando at Bikkuri Lounge, we will be celebrating the groundbreaking cyberpunk classic, Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA! It's one of the essential all-time anime classics and one of the major anime films that established anime as a serious artform to U.S. fans and we're excited to have it as our main feature!

We'll be showing Patema Inverted, directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura (Time of Eve), as our main feature! It's a fantastic, coming of age film if you have not seen it yet. Plus, we'll be showing some great animated shorts! Including one that won one of Japan's highest honors.

Anime Nite Orlando: It's About To Explode! (7/18)

Some people are down with fluffy, cute anime with no substance or soul. But not us! We show and celebrate REAL ANIME every month at Anime Nite Orlando!

July will be no different! We have a very special showing this time! An essential classic that anyone who dare call themselves a fan of anime or science fiction... or even a geek!

Propeller Anime Club Meeting on Sunday, February 6th!

Our next meeting of Propeller Anime Club will be on Sunday, February 6th at 1:00PM in FS3F-111 in Building 3F of Full Sail University. We have several things to celebrate before we begin watching Japanese cartoons!

First, senior member Zak W. will have a birthday soon. So hopefully he will be at the meeting so we can celebrate that! (I will bake some sweets!)

Next, more than several of our club members participated in the Orlando branch of the Global Game Jam this past weekend. For those not in the know, the GGJ is a worldwide event that lasts for 48 hours. In that time, developers of all types get together and create small labors of love in the form of videogames! So our club members that participated will show their games off!

Finally, we will have to celebrate for our very likely victory in dodgeball that we will gain this Saturday against Anime Spot. The team has been doing some very manly training under my guidance and have become a small army of badasses. Please make sure that you support them this Saturday! Give your spirit to them so they can launch dodgeballs like Genki Dama at their opponents!

Akira next Saturday. November 21st!

Next Saturday, November 21st, we will be watching Katsuhiro Otomo's classic sci-fi masterpiece Akira in the FS3B-Auditorium! The showing will be around 9:00 p.m. and we can mingle prior to that around 8:30 p.m. This is a pretty interesting take on the giant manga series that dominated in the 80s. Even to this day, there has been few anime with the animation quality of this movie and with plots as complicated. If you have not seen this film yet, you're in for a treat!
