Help fund Production I.G's "Kick-Heart," dammit!

The famed Production I.G - the studio behind Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, Dead Leaves, and even Mass Effect: Paragon Lost - want to make a new, experimental anime project and they need our help!
Masaki Yuasa's Kick-Heart is an animated short about love and the world of pro wrestling. It's an experimental work that is artistically driven and therefore would never be funded by a current animation industry that is afraid to take a chance on a new intellectual property.

With this, Production I.G has started a Kickstarter campaign to get funding and they are very close to reaching their initial goal of $150,000. With multiple tiers of rewards that you get for backing the project, even a little bit of money gets you something cool while getting Kick-Heart closer to funding!
Listen to Anime News Network's podcast with Production I.G about Kick-Heart.

Why should you fund Kick-Heart? Here are some good reasons:
  • Production I.G. is one of the most accomplished anime studios in the world. They will get the job done.
  • Masaki Yuasa is an accomplished director, with Mind Game, Tatami Galaxy, and Genius Party's "Happy Machine" under his belt.
  • Mamoru Oshii is involved as a project consultant. Don't know who that is? Let us know! We'll fix that.
  • The more you donate, the more cool stuff you get! Blu-ray, making of, production work, post cards, t-shirt, soundtrack, etc.
  • Pro wrestling is one of the MANLIEST forms of entertainment.
  • We need more anime that isn't about brothers and sisters sexually attracted to each other.
  • You make Propeller Anime's fearless leader very happy.
  • Success could open the doors to steering the direction of anime industry by directly voting with our dollars.
At the time of this writing, Kick-Heart is less than $35K away from a successful funding and their campaign ends on October 31st at 12:00am. Let's get it there!
