An Action-Packed Saturday for Orlando Anime Fans!

This Saturday, October 20th is host to many things for anime fans to do in Orlando as far as parties, events, and showings are concerned.

Anime Spot, Anime Sushi, Anime Orlando Inc, Orange Anime, and even A Comic Shop have something going on! And it's all free! Good thing our party is the following weekend!

We'll start with UCF's Anime Spot who is hosting their annual murder mystery night at 7pm in Cape Florida Ballroom in the UCF Student Union.

The Murder Mystery is an interactive event. The show opens up with a murder and you(and maybe your friends) have to solve it by questioning all the cast members who are suspect and watching events unfold that may either help you find the culprit or trick you!

Characters this year come from Professor Layton, Hellsing, Ah! My Goddess, Devil May Cry, Howl's Moving Castle, and Spice & Wolf. You can RSVP on Facebook.

Anime Sushi has meetings on the first and third Saturday of every month, starting at 5pm in their Sushi Safehouse, aka FX Plastics in Winter Park. Every meeting, they show a couple episodes of several currently running anime series.

This Saturday, they will be showing Excell World 11-12, Sword Art Online 07-08, Gakkatsu 03, Rinne no Lagrange 03-04, and try out Tsuritama & Jormungand.

Anime Orlando Inc. is having a Halloween costume party that starts at 3pm at their store. There will be a costume contest, a "scary" movie showing, games, snacks, and more! You can RSVP on Facebook.

Orange Anime is another club in Florida, they are more active in the southern part of the state but they do come up to Orlando on occasion, as is the case with their 10th anniversary gathering! TEN YEARS. That is quite an accomplishment to stay active that long and we give them our congratulations.

Their celebration runs all weekend and it looks like they will be going from place to place while having a central hotel to retire at each night. If you'd like to know more about what they have planned you can check this this post, find their schedule here and RSVP on Facebook. (Can someone tell them that Anime Orlando Inc. is closed on Sunday!?)

Last but not least, A Comic Shop is holding a party and costume drive to honor the birthday of fallen friend, "Triforce" Mike Pandel. It starts at 9pm and there will be beer, cake, and the usual shenanigans of A Comic Shop party. You can RSVP on Facebook.

Instead of a cover charge, they are asking that you bring a gently used costume or a bag of candy for the MAP Foundation's Costume Drive benefiting the children of New Image Youth Center in Parramore.

That's quite a bit of stuff and we are happy to promote all the other groups in the area and we hope they all have successful turnouts. We will try to be at as many of these events on Saturday as humanly possible. You should do the same too!

Propeller Anime is Orlando's mightiest anime club! You can like Propeller Anime on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and keep us in your Google+ circles!
