Anime Nite Orlando: Classic Gainax and Food Drive (11/15)

Coming off the heels of our 12th anniversary, Propeller Anime proudly brings you an Anime Nite Orlando that is for a great cause! It will take place on November 15th at Bikkuri Lounge.

We're having a food drive that will go to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. They collect food donations and get them to families in need. Thanksgiving is coming up so let's help some families that need it. Please bring canned food and other non-perishable items.

As for THE ANIME, we've been waiting forever to do this one. We're going with a classic Gainax theme. Before Gurren Lagann and even before Neon Genesis Evangelion. We'll be playing some critical works that shaped one of anime's most prolific studios.

The main feature of the night will be the first-ever Gainax film, Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise. The film combines excellent world-building, social commentary, political commentary with beautiful animation and science fiction. It's a masterpiece.

Joining that will be a series inspired by the works of Jules Verne, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. This series was directed by Hideaki Anno, who you may know from Gunbuster, Evangelion, and that one Godzilla movie.

In addition to great anime and food, we will also have a prize raffle with some fantastic anime swag to give away! You get a raffle ticket just for coming in; how about that?

Keep in mind that Anime MST3K is banned at our events, so please be respectful to your fellow anime fan.
